Custom Order FAQ

What are custom orders?

A custom order is an item that is designed specifically for you utilizing your specific measurements and insight.

What is the process of making a custom order?

After your custom order request has been received, we will follow up via email to determine if Summer Jameson is the right designer for you. Once a design idea is approved and a fabric selection is made you will receive an invoice for the cost. Once your design is done you will be sent photos of your finished product for final approval. If no changes need to be made at this time, your order will be sent out!

How much does a custom order cost?

Custom orders are a chance for you to have a unique garment that nobody else has. Prices reflect the time spent consulting, designing, drafting your pattern to your measurements, and constructing your garment. The price of a custom order will vary depending on fabric chosen, hours needed to sew, and complexity of the design. We will always send you a complete invoice prior to beginning work to ensure you're happy with moving forward.

Can I send in pictures of other garments for inspiration?

Inspiration pictures are always welcome when consulting on your design idea. Please note: We will not copy someone else's design for you. We're happy to use elements of another garment in your custom order but will not replicate another designers work.

What if I don't know my measurements?

After a design has been agreed upon we will let you know what measurements we will need for your order. There are guides on our website to help you take your own measurements as well as resources online we can direct you to if you need more assistance. Additionally, you may choose standard clothing sizes and your custom order will be made using our size chart.
